Certificates & Awards
Young people attending the project accrue their hours and have them recorded so they can gain certificates which lead to medals and honerary membership.
At milestone amounts of hours they recieve bronze, silver and gold awards, cups and money prizes too.
Young people are also gaining accreditations through Duke of Edinburgh, Asdan and UK Youth (the network for quality work with young people). These accreditations give points towards GCSE qualifications, UCAS points at various levels and also build self esteem within groups.
We have recently started to do new qualifications and accreditations, these are:
- Emergency first aid course
- Level 2 Food hygiene
- Manual handling in work place
- CIEH Level 2 health and safety in work place
Giving young people something to aspire towards creates a better sense of well-being in those who find a structured school environment challenging.
